Deutsche Bahn issued AUD 150 million bond

Deutsche Bahn issued AUD bond with a volume of AUD 150 million

(Berlin, October 23, 2017) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a AUD bond today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The fiveteen-year bond bears a coupon of 4.050 percent and has a total volume of AUD 150 million (EUR 100 million). The issuing price was 99.922 percent resulting in a yield of 4.057 percent.

The bond proceeds were swapped into Euros. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility. The bond was placed to institutional investors from Asia/Pacific region.

It is the longest corporate bond ever issued under a Kangaroo program.

The issuing consortium was jointly led by Daiwa Securities and HSBC.
