EcoVadis

In the internationally recognised EcoVadis rating, Deutsche Bahn Group (DB Group) has received a score of 79 points out of a maximum of 100 points in July 2026 (2025: 80 points). This puts DB in the top one percent in the rail transport sector. 

For purchasing organizations, sustainability standards and ratings are becoming increasingly important in the supply chain. More and more customers are requesting this information and setting it as a prerequisite for awarding contracts.

EcoVadis has been evaluating the performance of companies in the fields of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) since 2007. The methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000. The assessment focuses on 21 CSR criteria in four subject areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The overall EcoVadis score (0-100) reflects the quality of a company's CSR management system at the time of the assessment.EcoVadis operates a collaborative platform that provides sustainability ratings of companies. It is used by buyers and suppliers worldwide.
