ESG-Policies
To ensure coordinated and targeted action for environmental-, social and governance topics (ESG) within DB Group, generally applicable guidelines are necessary.
Group guidelines and principles contain the key provisions for Group-wide leadership and management topics. The Group guidelines are supported by framework guidelines. These are guidelines issued by Group management that apply for several business units or service entities. Individual guidelines detail the rules on topics such as environmental management, occupational health and safety or data protection.
DB Group employees can access the guidelines via the internal Group regulations database. The following policies are publicly available:
- The Corporate Principles Ethics (Code of Conduct) define standards for acting with integrity and form an integral part of all employment contracts, with the aim of ensuring that the DB Group’s business activities are conducted in an ethically sound manner.
- The DB Code of Conduct for Business Partners commits our suppliers and business partners to comply with ethical and legal standards. It forms an important basis for our cooperative business dealings.
- In its Policy Statement on protecting and respecting human rights, DB Group expresses its commitment and dedication to respecting human rights and environmental responsibilities.
Information on further ESG-related policies can be found in the respective policies sections of material topics in the 2025 Sustainability Report.
