(Berlin, January 27, 2021) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a GBP bond (ISIN: XS2295280411) via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The bond has a total volume of GBP 300 million (EUR 339 million) and a duration of nearly six years. The bond bears a coupon of 0.375%. The issuing price was 99.377% resulting in a yield of 0.484%.
The bond proceeds were swapped into Euros. The proceeds of the issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility. The bond was placed to institutional investors mainly from Europe (particularly from Great Britain).
The issuing consortium was jointly led by Barclays, BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Canada.
