(Berlin, February 23, 2022) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued its first € benchmark bond (ISIN: XS2451376219), the third bond so far in 2022, via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The twelve-year-bond has a total volume of EUR 750 million. The bond bears a coupon of 1.375%. The issuing price was 99.846% resulting in a yield of 1.389%.
The proceeds of the issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility. The bond was primarily placed to institutional investors from Europe.
The issuing consortium was jointly led by Citigroup, Crédit Agricole, HSBC and Unicredit.
