(Berlin, June 30, 2016) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a € benchmark bond today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance B.V., Amsterdam/the Netherlands. The 15-year bond bears a coupon of 0.875 percent and has a total volume of € 750 million. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.
The bond issued met with very high interest from international investors and was significantly oversubscribed.
The new bond was issued to institutional investors particularly from Europe and will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange. With a denomination of € 1,000 also retail investors can purchase the securities.
The issuing consortium was jointly led by Commerzbank, Barclays, SEB and Société Générale.
