Deutsche Bahn issues € benchmark bond

Deutsche Bahn issues a further € benchmark bond with volume of € 300 million

(Berlin, September 1, 2014) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a further € benchmark bond today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance B.V., Amsterdam/the Netherlands. The eight-year bond bears a variable coupon of 3M-EURIBOR + 28bps percent and has a total volume of € 300 million. The bond was issued at par. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The bond met great interest amongst investors. The demand was more than two times higher than the volume offered.

The new bond found the interest of almost exclusively institutional investors from Europe, particularly from Germany. The bond will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange. With a denomination of € 1,000 also retail investors can directly purchase the securities.

The issuing consortium was jointly led by Banca IMI, Bayerische Landesbank and J.P. Morgan.
