(Berlin, May 29, 2018) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a private placement today via its financing subsidiary Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The 10-year bond has a total volume of AUD 206 million (about € 133 million).
The bond bears a coupon of 3.494 %. The issuing price was 100 % resulting in a yield of 3.494 %. The loan proceeds were swapped into EUR. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.
The bond was sold via Mizuho as a private placement to institutional investors in Japan.
