Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating

Sustainalytics has rated Deutsche Bahn AG with a "medium risk". 

With a score of 22.3, Sustainalytics rates Deutsche Bahn Group (DB Group) with a medium risk in May 2024. This assessment puts DB Group in line with the industry average for the transport sector. 

Sustainalytics, a Morningstar Company, is a leading independent ESG and corporate governance research, ratings and analytics firm that supports investors with the development and implementation of responsible investment strategies.  

The Sustainalytics' ESG Risk Rating measures a company’s exposure to industry-specific material ESG risks and how well a company is managing those risks. Companies are placed into five different risk categories ranging from negligible (0 - 10), low (10 - 20), medium (20 - 30), and high (30 - 40) to severe (40+).
