(Berlin, September 22, 2023) Deutsche Bahn (DB Group) has been upgraded by the rating agency ISS ESG in its ESG Corporate Rating from "C+" to "B-". This is mainly due to better ratings in the area of "Governance" and a positive trend in the area of "Eco-efficiency". This puts the DB Group in decile rank 1.
The ISS ESG Corporate Rating evaluates the sustainability performance of companies in the areas of environment, social and governance (so-called ESG criteria).
The rating has an absolute best-in-class approach: prime status is awarded to companies that achieve the defined sustainability requirements (prime threshold) of ISS ESG for a specific industry in the ISS ESG Corporate Rating. The decile rank indicates performance relative to the industry in addition to the overall rating. A decile rank of 1 indicates high relative performance, while a 10 indicates low relative performance.
