Deutsche Bahn once again achieves top position in CDP's climate rating

On A list for the sixth time in a row

(Berlin, December 13, 2022) For us at Deutsche Bahn, protecting the climate is a central component of our Green Transformation. We have committed to an ambitious climate protection target: climate neutrality by 2040. This year, we have once again been recognized by the global environmental non-profit organization CDP for our commitment to combating climate change. For the sixth time in a row, we are on the climate rating's prestigious A list.

As one of around 280 companies, we are among the top group and, according to CDP, one of the most climate-friendly companies in the world. In Germany, twelve companies made it onto the A list this time. In total, the organization evaluated more than 18,700 companies in this year's rating.

In its annual rating process, CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology that assigns grades from A to D-. It evaluates the level of transparency and disclosure of climate data, awareness and management of environmental risks, and best practices related to environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious targets.

On behalf of its members - investors, companies and cities - the London-based non-profit international rating organization CDP annually collects environmental data from companies, assesses their climate protection activities and transparency in reporting, and is recognized as the gold standard for corporate environmental transparency.

The Climate A list can be found on the CDP website.
