Deutsche Bahn Issued Swedish Kronor Bond

Deutsche Bahn issued bonds in two tranches with a volume of SEK 1,600 million (nearly € 182 million).

(Berlin, January 28, 2014) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued yesterday seven-year bonds in two tranches with a total volume of SEK 1,600 million (nearly € 182 million) under its MTN program via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance B.V., Amsterdam/the Netherlands.

The first tranche has a volume of SEK 1.250 million and a fix coupon of 2.875 %. The issuing price was 99.844 % resulting in a yield of 2.90 %.

The second tranche has a volume of SEK 350 million and a variable coupon of 3M STIBOR +53. The issuing price was 100.00 %.

The issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.The bonds were mainly allocated to institutional investors in Scandinavia and will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange with a denomination of each SEK 1 million per tranche. To avoid foreign currency risk, DB Group also completed a cross-currency swap with an identical maturity.Lead manager of the issue is SEB.
