DB Supervisory Board Extends Contracts of Lutz and Rausch

(Berlin, June 20, 2012) The Deutsche Bahn Supervisory Board has extended the contracts of two Management Board members, Dr. Richard Lutz and Dr. Karl-Friedrich Rausch, during its regularly scheduled meeting today in Berlin. The 48-year-old Dr. Lutz, responsible for Finance and Controlling, is now under contract for a further five years until 2018. His current contract expires in 2013. Dr. Rausch, who will turn 61 in July and has headed up the Transport and Logistics department for DB Mobility Logistics AG since June 2009, will continue in this position through 2015. His current contract also expires in 2013. Dr. Rausch was Head of the Passenger Transport Board division from 2003 to 2009.

DB Supervisory Board Chairman, Professor Utz-Hellmuth Felcht, explained the Board’s decision: “The Supervisory Board members are looking forward to their continued work with these excellent managers in the future.” DB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Rüdiger Grube: “Deutsche Bahn can only overcome the challenges that lie ahead with the efforts of a strong team. That is why I am very pleased that we will be able to continue our successful and confident work in the coming years.”
