Issue of 60-years bond with a volume of 60 million GBP

Deutsche Bahn issue with a time to maturity of 60 years has the longest term of all GBP bonds, which were issued by a company up to now

(Berlin, November 21, 2012) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a GBP bond today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance B.V., Amsterdam/the Netherlands. The 60-year bond has a total volume of GBP 60 million and has up to now the longest term of all GBP bonds, which were issued by a company so far.  The unusual term was chosen with respect to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, which was celebrated this year.

The bond bears a coupon of 4.5 percent. The issuing price was 100 percent resulting in a yield of 4.5 percent. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The demand for the bond was significantly higher than the volume offered and was placed  with investors from the UK completely. The bond will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange.

The issuing consortium was headed by Barclays Bank.
