Second bond in 2019 issued

Deutsche Bahn issued GBP benchmark bond with a volume of GBP 300 million

(Berlin, February 5, 2019) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a GBP benchmark bond (ISIN: XS1950499712) today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The seven-year bond bears a coupon of 1.875 percent and has a total volume of GBP 300 million (EUR 340 million). The issuing price was 99.805 percent resulting in a yield of 1.905 percent. The bond proceeds were swapped into Euros. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The bond was placed to institutional investors particularly from the UK and will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange. With a denomination of GBP 1,000 also retail investors can purchase the securities.

The issuing consortium was jointly led by J.P. Morgan, NatWest Markets and Royal Bank of Canada.
