(Berlin, October 8, 2019) The rating agency Moody’s announced today, that it affirms the “Aa1“ long-term rating assessments of Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) and at the same time revises the outlook from “stable” to “negative”. The short-term rating of DB AG remains unchanged (“P-1”).
The outlook revision reflects Moody’s expectations that the economic development will remain tense in 2019 FY and that key rating figures will continue to come under pressure. Moody's expects a sustained improvement of the key rating figures through measures to be implemented by Deutsche Bahn.
The planned issue of hybrid bonds and the measures to strengthen rail transport in Germany as part of the Climate Action Program 2030 announced by the Federal Government in September 2019 are seen positively by Moody’s.
