Since the 2004 financial year the financial statements of Deutsche Bahn Group (DB Group) have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as used in the European Union and augmented by the customary regulations contained in § 315a art. 1 of the German Commercial Code (HGB).
DB Group generated adjusted revenues of € 47.1 billion in the 2021 financial year and adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of € -1.6 billion.

Of the € 47.1 bn in Group revenues for the 2021 finanical year, 51 % (€ 24,1 bn) was generated in Germany. The remainder breaks down as follows: the Region Europe (excluding Germany) 30 % (€ 14,3 bn), the region Asia/Pacific 10 % (€ 5,0 bn) and the region North America 7 % (€ 3,2 bn); the region rest of the world 2% (€ 0,8 bn).
