First bond in 2019 issued

Deutsche Bahn issued a € benchmark bond with a volume of € 1 billion

(Berlin, January 9, 2019) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued its first € benchmark bond in 2019 today via its financing subsidiary Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The bond is maturing in roughly 10 years and bears a coupon of 1.125 percent and has a total volume of € 1 bn. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The new bond was placed mainly with institutional investors from Germany, France and Great Britain and will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange. With a denomination of € 1,000 also retail investors can purchase the securities.

Joint Bookrunners of the issue are Banca IMI, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, HSBC, MUFG and Société Genérale.
