Deutsche Bahn Issues NOK 700 mn Bond

Deutsche Bahn issues first bond in 2017

(Berlin, February 9, 2017) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a NOK bond yesterday under its MTN program via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance B.V., Amsterdam/the Netherlands. The 15-year-bond bears a coupon of 2.49% and has a total volume of NOK 700 million (about € 79 million). The issuing price was 100.00 % resulting in a yield of 2.49%.The loan proceeds were swapped into the EUR. The bond will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The bond was sold as a private placement to an institutional investor in Scandinavia and will be listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange with a denomination of NOK 1 million. The bond was placed via the Deutsche Bank.
