CHF 300 million bond issued

Deutsche Bahn issued CHF bond with a volume of CHF 300 million

(Berlin, October 18, 2017) Deutsche Bahn successfully issued a CHF bond today via its financing subsidiary, Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH. The thirteen-year bond bears a coupon of 0.450 percent and has a total volume of CHF 300 million (EUR 261 million). The issuing price was 100.316 percent resulting in a yield of 0.425 percent. The bond proceeds were swapped into Euros. The proceeds of the new issue will be used by Deutsche Bahn to increase its financial flexibility.

The bond was placed to institutional investors particularly from Switzerland and will be listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange SIX. With a denomination of CHF 5,000 also retail investors can purchase the securities.

This bond is the longest ever senior CHF bond of a German corporate issuer.

The issuing consortium was jointly led by Commerzbank and Credit Suisse.
