Since the 2004 financial year the financial statements of Deutsche Bahn Group (DB Group) have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as used in the European Union and augmented by the customary regulations contained in § 315a art. 1 of the German Commercial Code (HGB).
DB Group generated adjusted revenues of € 44.0 billion in 2018 financial year and adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of € 2.1 billion.

Of the € 44.0 billion in Group revenues for 2018, 57 % (€ 24,9 bn) was generated in Germany. The remainder breaks down as follows: the Region Europe (excluding Germany) 31 % (€ 13,6 bn), the region Asia/Pacific 7 % (€ 3,0 bn) and the region North America 4 % (€ 1,9 bn); the region rest of the world 1% (€ 0,6 bn).
By December, 31th 2018 DB Group had 318,528 (full-time) employees (331,568 natural persons). Of these 61.7 % were employed in Germany, and 38.3 % abroad.
